Technical features

Direct torque control (DTC): ACS6000 uses ABB’s DTC technology to achieve the most accurate torque and speed control in medium voltage transmission. DTC control theory allows torque response time 10 times faster than traditional flux vector control or pulse width modulation control methods, with minimal torque ripple and precise static speed and torque control.

IGCT power semiconductor devices: ACS6000 uses IGCT (integrated gate commutated thyristor) power semiconductor devices, which reduces the number of components and improves efficiency and reliability. IGCT combines the high-speed switching characteristics of IGBT with the high blocking voltage and low conduction loss characteristics of GTO, which fundamentally reduces the complexity of the inverter design.

Modular design: ACS6000 adopts modular design and can be configured according to the required output power, motor configuration and process requirements. This design is easy to install, maintain and upgrade, and improves the flexibility and availability of the system.

ACS6000 is suitable for medium-voltage inverters for speed and torque control of tens of megawatt motors, and is most suitable for most demanding high-power applications. Input voltage: 3300V for 6-pulse diode rectifier, 1725V for 12- and 24-pulse diode rectifiers, and 3160V for 6-, 12- and 18-pulse active rectifiers.

Output voltage: 2.3, 3.3kV, other voltage levels are optional.

Motor type: supports induction motors, synchronous motors and permanent magnet synchronous motors.
